Mrs. Maclay, a resident of New York since childhood, removed some years ago to Europe where she made her home at Geneva, taking with her her collection of furnishings and art objects. In this connection, an amusing episode incidental to the shipment of the furniture is perhaps worth retelling here. It concerns the Friesland painted and carved child's carriage [number which, to Mrs. Maclay's great consternation was consigned to her in care of the League of Nations.
