Book excerpt: This project began in 1993 with a request from the Northeast Wildlife Administrators Association to the Northeast Wild Turkey Technical Committee "to identify the minimum set of information needed to properly manage wild turkey populations and facilitate state standardization of methods and protocols for data collection within the region." The Technical Committee is composed of the wild turkey project leaders from the northeastern United States and the Province of Ontario. The Wildlife Administrators represent state and provincial agencies with authority for managing wildlife.-- p.2.
