Book excerpt: Skeletor has a plan to lure Teela to him, using the thousands of shadow men at his disposal. He commands them to bring a slab of Mentalite to him so he can focus his energies and send a telepathic message, disguised as He-Man, to Teela, requesting that she come to him. Teela complies, undergoing several trials along the way, such as Mer-Man and Beast Man. She eventually overcomes them with the help of Stratos. Stratos alerts He-Man and he is able to defeat Skeletor and the shadow men by shattering the Mentalite.
