Book excerpt: It is rightly said, “Prevention is better than cure”. Children are like clay, which can be molded into any form, and the role of teachers in shaping the child’s future is of utmost importance. Keeping in view the fact that there is an epidemiological increase in the number of children diagnosed with ADHD, and an increasing number of children who cannot be diagnosed and given appropriate treatment due to the ignorance of teachers regarding ADHD. The investigator felt that there is a need to educate the teachers regarding ADHD. It will also create a general and social awareness among educators, parents and all those who are involved directly and indirectly with the upbringing of children.
