Mentions the death of his son, Henry Capel Lofft, in the Battle of Albuera. (2) Makes reference to the Duke of York's conduct. On the inside leaf of (2), a draft of a letter in Wilmington Fleming's hand. (3) mentions a "sublimely beautiful comet." (4) Lofft mentions his Aphorisms from Shakespeare. (5) concerns travel arrangements for him and his daughter Laura. Also with (5), a clipped autograph signature attached to a sheet with biographical note of Lofft and a portrait of Capel Lofft.
