He married Sophia Houk ca. 1755/56. Family moved from Pennsylvania to Botetourt County, Virginia in 1792, where Christian Gish died 1796. Descendants live in Virginia, Indiana, Washington, Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Texas, Illinois and elsewhere.
