Book excerpt: The Bi-State Water Quality Program's goals include an assessment of the impacts of contaminants on fish and wildlife in the Lower Columbia River (LCR). Our objective was to compile and synthesize available published, unpublished reports, and observations of experts on key fish and wildlife species, and selected trophic representatives. Potential impacts of contaminants to fish and wildlife may include chemical effects, biological effects, and habitat-related effects. This report attempts to analyze and synthesize these data, identify weaknesses in the data base, and formulate recommendations for further activities.
