Book excerpt: A Phase IA cultural resources survey was conducted of Plot 118, Estate Mount welcome, and a Phase IB cultural resources survey was similarly conducted concurrently in part of Plot 118. The survey failed to locate any cultural resources either in the literature or int he field. Reasons are given why this may be so, principally that the area was submerged land for most of human history on St. Croix. No more archaeological work is recommended.
