The author has drawn from his own extensive experiences in business and in the introduction, shares what inspired and motivated him to write this book. The book is now divided into three major sections: the first one is a large section divided into chapters on leadership skills that are short and to the point, with many thought-provoking questions and exercises that are meant to encourage independent thinking and application; the second section discusses the importance of people and emotional intelligence skills to improve performance and generate personal growth; and the third section is on coaching and mentoring. This Second Edition has come about largely in response to readers who wanted to learn more about emotional intelligence and the difference between coaching and mentoring. Perhaps more than those updates, the author has introduced his desire to make a difference in people's lives and challenges us to do the same.
