Book excerpt: The main goal of this monograph is to develop a theory of pseudodifferential operators adaptable to problems in noncommutative harmonic analysis. The author's point of view is to try to make the analogy with the case of pseudodifferential operators on [double-struck capital]R[superscript italic]n as close as possible by exploiting the group Fourier transform and associated symbol calculus.
