Book Synopsis Prophets of a Just Society by : Jake C. Miller
Book excerpt: This book was made possible by a grant from the United Negro College and Fellowship Program, and a leave of absence by Bethune-Cookman College. It was written for the purpose of enhancing knowledge of non-violent resistance as a means of resolving social conflicts. Specifically, the book analyses the contributions of Mohandas K Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Albert J Luthuli and Desmond M Tutu to the non-violent effort. The book is dedicated both to those who have sacrificed to advance the cause of peace through non-violent resistance, and those who continue to advocate its use.
