Book Synopsis Summary of Meghan Leahy's Parenting Outside the Lines by : Everest Media,

Book excerpt: Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 In America today, the parenting culture picks up speed early and never seems to slow down. As soon as you become pregnant, you are bombarded with activities to do with your baby, and it never stops. #2 I was meticulous about tracking my temperature, and as I went along, I noticed my temperature began to rise. I was ovulating, and I felt like crap. I was teaching English literature in an all-boys school, and I was wondering how many movies I could show them before the school fired me. #3 When it comes to trusting our intuition and what we know about our children, our culture keeps us in a constant state of doubt. We feel like we have to follow a certain path and add more to our lives to live up to society’s expectations. #4 We are not as damaged and insecure as we think we are. We just aren’t aware of how our brains work, and we have stopped trusting ourselves. We are highly susceptible to panic and fear, and because there is nothing in nature that makes us more panicky and fearful than having a child, we have created a cultural loop of fear and reaction.
