Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of the awards of the Silver Star, Navy Cross and Medal of Honor to members of the U.S. Navy in the War on Terrorism (Iraq and Afghanistan). Included are nearly all official citations however, many of the awards were to U.S. Navy SEALs whose identities have been redacted. Those who are identified usually include a photo of the recipient and brief biographical information. Several Appendixes analyze these awards by such criteria as rank/rating, military specialty, award chronology, and more.
