Book excerpt: This book concludes by considering how an inclusive, democratic feminism might most robustly respond to the question of breastfeeding rights. From such a perspective, breastfeeding cannot be considered an absolute right: breastfeeding, though it is the best method of feeding most infants in most cases, is not appropriate for all women, whether or not it is a matter of choice, in all circumstances.
