Book excerpt: Certification of Factual Information During Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Proceedings (US International Trade Administration Regulation) (ITA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Certification of Factual Information During Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Proceedings (US International Trade Administration Regulation) (ITA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Department of Commerce ("the Department") is amending its regulation which governs the certification of factual information submitted to the Department by a person or his or her representative during antidumping ("AD") and countervailing duty ("CVD") proceedings. The amendments are intended to strengthen the current certification requirements. For example, these amendments revise the certification in order to identify to which document the certification applies, to identify to which segment of an AD/CVD proceeding the certification applies, to identify who is making the certification, and to indicate the date on which the certification was made. In addition, the amendments are intended to ensure that parties and their counsel are aware of potential consequences for false certifications. The Department is also requesting comments on this interim final rule.
