Though, in some degree, actual methods are outlined, the book does not pre tend to be a compendium of entertainment plans, many comprehensive works already filling that field also. Its design is rather to show a vital connection between amusement and the well-being of society, a kinship between recreation and righteousness, - and to plead especially for the exercise of the normal function of play in young life, 'which shall build a new generation, physically, intellectually.
