Book excerpt: This book is about pirates and their treasure, and the islands visited in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Little has been known, or written, about these early day ships, and the scoundrels that sailed them. Pirates, of course, were known throughout the world in such places as the Caribbean, Atlantic shores of America, Mediterranean Sea, Africa, and Western Pacific, and much as been written about them, including many movies, but very little about the Pacific shores of New Spain, in North and South America.
