Book Synopsis Death of a "Jewish Science" by : James E. Goggin

Book excerpt: In this compelling book, the role of the continual trauma that the Third Reich had on individual psychoanalysts is used to assess the events of the transformation of the Berlin Psychoanalytic Institute into the Goring Institute. Through this investigation, it is determined whether or not psychoanalysis survived at the Goring Institute during the Third Reich. During the course of the novel the Third Reich is further explained as well as the possible extinction of psychoanalysis.
