Book excerpt: This edited book analyses current trends in science communication and gathers research on practices related to the construction of digital identity and visibility, emerging conflicts related to the public availability and appropriation of scientific culture, and ways of validating and disseminating scientific knowledge in new digital contexts. Drawing on a selection of papers presented in the InterGedi Conference (Zaragoza, December 2021), the main goal of the volume is to identify and explore emerging professional practices and challenges in the digital communication of science through innovative multimodal genres.
