Book excerpt: Developed in response to the need for information about good practice regarding HIV/AIDS prevention education programmes, this sourcebook considers 13 case studies of programmes targeting school-age children and young people in seven sub-Saharan African countries, using a standardised format to enable comparison. The publication is the result of work undertaken by a range of contributors and has been produced by the World Bank in partnership with a number of international agencies including UNAIDS, UNESCO, is part of the global effort to support activities by countries to strengthen the role of the education sector in the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
