Book excerpt: So here I am, sitting on a cold tile floor in an embalming room, leaning against the wall with a dead naked lady in my lap and laughing until tears come to my eyes. Death is not a respecter of persons or age. Through illness, disease, homicide, suicide, or accident, it takes the young, old, rich, and poor. Sometimes it's horrible, sometimes sad, sometimes unnecessary, and sometimes a blessing. Sometimes it is even humorous. It is not written to be disrespectful but to show that even in times of sadness and dispair, there can be a lighter side to death.
