Book excerpt: Rock Steady Boxing The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to empower people with Parkinson’s disease to fight back. Rock Steady Boxing is a nonprofit organization that uses a noncontact fitness curriculum adapted from boxing drills that has been shown to decrease, delay, and even reverse the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. At RSB, Parkinson’s disease is the opponent. RSB expects that by the end of 2016, there will be more than 300 affiliate locations throughout the world and that the Rock Steady method will be a worldwide movement in the fight against Parkinson’s.
