Book excerpt: It was an exciting summer for Liam, with an opportunity to try out for the Bay City Bobcats, an exclusive travel baseball team. However, after reaching his goal and making the team, he discovers that friendship is more important than baseball. His new friend is unjustly accused of stealing from his teammates, and Liam decides to find the real thief. Frustrated by not solving the mystery, Liam comes up with a bold plan. The problem is, his idea could cause his team the championship and Liam a perfect game. He must decide what is most important in his life, personal glory or the reputation of a friend.
