Book excerpt: As many as 7 different persons have served in the position of National Overseer for the Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica. All these National Overseers who have served Jamaica have brought to the position their distinct individual personalities, styles, giftings, competencies and character traits. The very process involved in rising to the high office of National Overseer as well as the available historical records, would support the view that they all were wonderful servants of God who gave of themselves in service to the Church of God. None of us can truly evaluate the fullness of their service and the contribution and impact they have made on our history. It is fitting, that as we have celebrated over 90 years of ministry in Jamaica that a permanent record of their ministry in the Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica be available to the generations that will follow.
