Book excerpt: This series aims to tell fun, engaging, diverse stories. Each book has a reading level assigned to it depending on the difficulty of the words. I designed the books and layout to be used as a learning-to-read tool, read-along, or a "popcorn" reader. Example: Just be kind. Say what's on your mind but remember, it needs to rhyme. "Passion's Fashion." The short story is a five-minute bedtime story about a girl named Passion who is passionate about fashion. She is a young African American girl that is confident in her abilities and loves to make clothes and styles for all her friend's smiles. She is confident and passionate about her fashion and ensures that her friends are too.
