Book excerpt: Pete, the owner of a pet store filled with animals with interesting personalities, falls ill and the animals are left alone to try run the store and survive. A street rat enters the store and tries to take over. The animals have a hard time trying to figure out how to run the store and, to make matters worse, they start to fight amongst themselves. The store needs a great leader urgently before they run out of food.
