Portal Into the Light of Truth was written because Wicca is not just Celtic anymore. Its mystical blend of multi-cultural traditions is open to everyone who wishes to practice. Being an initiated Priestess of Wicca and African American, Jeanine De Oya has been communicating online with African Americans of many pagan traditions. There is a huge community of Black Americans who are Wiccans, Eclectic Pagans, and Christian Wiccans and who buy and read many books on Wicca but feel there is no voice that speaks directly to them. This book addresses the reality of African American Witches, introduces basic Wicca to anyone who wishes to be familiar with its practices and gives support and ideas to Americans of color who already practice this deeply magical and spiritually fulfilling tradition.
