Book excerpt: This consumable book containing easy-to-read stories is designed to encourage critical thinking in the elementary grades and with olders students in need of remedial instruction. The material was designed to show that we apply deductive reasoning skills in every aspect of communication. After each story, children are asked to write in answers that are not only based on memory, they are asked to to deduce and infer the answer and give a reasong for it. Book I is for children whose reading skills would place them approximately in the second to third grades.
