Book excerpt: Songs of Deliverance and Joy is the collection of thirty-four years of poems, some with original tunes, all wrested from the fingers of one who is thankful he has a Saviour to turn to, both in the joyous and in the trying times. The desire is that they would turn souls to the Lord Jesus, either for the first time or afresh. Passages from the Bible were selected to complement the poem or to explain the exercise that led to its writing.
