Book excerpt: This work follows a chronological method that stretches from 1492 to 2010 and intends to show the history of an uninterrupted Hispanic presence in the United States. No topic is developed at length, but only the historical fact is highlighted followed by several reference sources which provide further information on the topic. This is an effort to convey historical information to the people of the United States to whom schools or other educational institutions have never passed on the story of the historical Spanish Heritage of this country.
