Book excerpt: Denver Michaels is an author with a passion for cryptozoology, the paranormal, lost civilizations, ancient history and all things unexplained. The Virginia native has written more than ten books examining unexplained phenomena, including Haunted Shenandoah Valley, Giants: Men of Renown and Strange Tales from Virginia’s Mountains.
