Book Synopsis The God I understand and believe in written by Korean layman in 60s by : Moravian Cho 모라비안 조

Book excerpt: This book started from the shock, by the time the author had grown up and developed a certain degree of self-consciousness during his childhood, of discovering that "I don't know who I am (how humans came to exist)“ and that ”even though, I am living my life calmly as if I don't need to know that fact“ From that day on, I have started a lifelong struggle to find the truth about these questions - “How did I and this world come into existence? Does God who created me and this world exist? If such God exists, why did God create humans and this world? How should I live?”, and the accumulation of that enlightenment is this book. This book was written with standards on interpreting human history and individuals who inevitably stand in the history of humanity. This book reveals that although human history is the story of people, creature-man is not the subject of this human history, but the Creator God who creat and governs this world and man, and that human history should be interpreted as a process that God is leading to personally fulfill His purpose of Creation. The main content of this book is the story of a subjective process that integrates the past, present, and future led by God. And, as a conclusion, the author recommended that everyone should realize that his present life that he just lives and dies without realizing how he came to exist is not the real-life based on the truth, and return to his original place of the real truth-life(living as a God’s child with Father God, infinitely creating God's good works within himself, and enjoying eternal life and the greatest happiness) as he was created. It is revealed that this is the purpose of God's creation of the heavens and the earth, and at the same time, that it is a life based on the truth that created human beings should live. This invitation is the ultimate purpose of writing this book. main contents of this book 1. God, the Creator who created this world and man, exists / Who is God? 2. The Creation of heavens, earth, man/the beginning of the world : the purpose of Creation, the essence and identity of human beings 3. Man's betrayal of God/separation from God, man in death 4. God the Father(Jesus) who came again to man/ God provided the way to salvation through His life’s sacrifice 5. The Age of Salvation: Giving all mankind a chance of salvation 6. The End of the World, and The Judgment / : Judgment of All Humans : Determination of Heaven or Hell 7. Eternal life in heaven: the ultimate fulfillment of the purpose for which God first created the heavens and the earth and man Concluding remarks: A life based on the truth Everyone has to go back to the real fact that they came into existence—believe in God, the Creator who created him, and return to his original place as they were created, the place of God’s children.
