Book excerpt: The Last Selkie Girl is an early reader book to be either read aloud by a caregiver, or for a child aged 6-9 to read. It is set in a remote part of Scotland. Morag is a little girl who lives with her mother in a stone cottage by the sea. She often wonders about her father and asks her mother about him, but he is one of the mysterious Selkie folk-- as Morag soon finds out when he comes to visit them on a bright moonlit night.
