Book Synopsis The Saga of South Wheeling by : Mary "Ginger" Durkin Kabala

Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of the history, the industries, the events, the businesses, and the people that made South Wheeling an outstanding community. The authors felt that this place has never been recognized by the city of Wheeling, the state of West Virginia, or the United States for the marvelous contributions it has made. Ginger Kabala has lived in South Wheeling for forty years and is married to a man who has lived there his entire life. Donna Freter lived the first ten years of her life in South Wheeling and then lived in the Wheeling area until 2019. Her ancestors lived in South Wheeling. The co-authors felt that, if they did not write this book, no one would know how great an area it is.
