Therefore, after a short introduction into the topic of memory, the most influencal theories of memory storage, ranging from the multi store model to the flashbulb memory theory, are introduced. Additionally, a short overview over the theory of false memories and the weapon effect on eyewitness testimonies is given as well. Finally, a brief conclusion of the findings is given.
